Verano is a botanical body oil for dry skin, made for daily use after showering or bathing.

Our in-house infusion of organic calendula flowers in organic extra-virgin olive oil joins coconut, camellia, hemp seed, and jojoba oils to soften skin and help seal in moisture. The blend glides over damp skin, leaving it feeling smooth and supple with a subtle sheen.

Monoi butter adds richness and creamy gardenia notes, while palmarosa, yuzu, sweet orange, bergamot, and neroli complete its warm floral-citrus scent.

Organic calendula flowers are slowly infused in organic extra-virgin olive oil. Calendula has a longstanding place in herbal skin preparations; here, the infusion contributes to a rich, softening blend for dry skin.

INGREDIENT TRANSPARENCY

Tocopherol, beta-sitosterol, and squalene form an antioxidant blend that helps protect the oils from oxidation. Squalene is distinct from squalane and is listed here as it appears in the formula.

Verano’s scent comes from botanical ingredients, including gardenia flower extract and essential oils. No synthetic fragrance is added.

From Palmarosa to Verano

Verano began as a simpler body oil called Palmarosa—a blend of carrier oils scented with the essential oil that first caught my attention while I was learning to make skincare.

Palmarosa was new to me. I loved its clean, fresh warmth: softly floral without feeling like a bouquet, with a scent that reminded me of warm skin. It brought summer to mind.

As I learned more about fragrance and aromatherapy, I wanted to build on that warmth. Monoi brought creamy tropical flowers, and citrus added brightness. Together, they became a scent inspired by heat, summer nights, and the quiet closeness of skin.

Calendula came through my early interest in herbalism, where flower-infused oils have a longstanding place in skin care. Our in-house calendula infusion became a foundation shared by Oro Rosa and the body oil that would become Verano. We still slowly infuse organic calendula flowers in organic olive oil—a connection to the herbal preparations that first drew me in.
