Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot Kernel Oil

Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil

Certified organic

Inside the hard stone of an apricot lies a kernel rich in oil. Its composition is dominated by oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid, and linoleic acid, an essential omega-6 fatty acid. The oil also contains naturally occurring tocopherols—forms of vitamin E—and phytosterols, compounds found in plant cell membranes.

Apricot kernel oil acts as an emollient, helping soften roughness and leave dry skin feeling smoother and more supple. In Oro Rosa, it contributes silky glide and a soft finish, complementing the richer botanical character of rosehip, pomegranate, and sea buckthorn CO₂ extracts.

Bakuchi seeds used to produce cold-pressed bakuchi seed oil

Bakuchi Seed Oil

Psoralea Corylifolia Seed Oil

Cold-pressed

Bakuchi, also known as babchi, is a seed-bearing botanical with a long history in Ayurvedic preparations. Cold pressing produces a whole seed oil containing naturally occurring bakuchiol alongside other oil-soluble constituents. Its composition differs from the concentrated bakuchiol ingredient used separately in modern skincare.

In Azul, bakuchi seed oil contributes botanical richness and emollience to the blend of hibiscus, meadowfoam, jojoba, and squalane. We pair the whole seed oil with a separate bakuchiol ingredient, bringing these two distinct preparations together in the formula.

Blue tansy flowers used to produce aromatic blue tansy oil

Blue Tansy

Tanacetum Annuum Flower Oil

Blue tansy is a yellow-flowered botanical whose essential oil develops a striking blue color during steam distillation. Heat transforms naturally occurring precursors into chamazulene, the compound responsible for the oil’s deep indigo hue. Its aroma is equally distinctive: herbaceous and green, with warm, softly sweet undertones.

In Azul, we use a small amount of blue tansy alongside frankincense and copaiba to bring aromatic depth to the blend. Its concentrated botanical color contributes to the finished oil’s hue, while its herbal character complements the silky base of squalane, hibiscus seed oil, and meadowfoam.

Calendula flower extract, a botanical ingredient in Verano Body Oil

Calendula

Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract

Certified organic

Calendula’s golden flowers have a long history in preparations for dry, delicate skin. Their yellow and orange tones come from carotenoids—plant pigments that can be drawn into oil through infusion. The flowers also contain triterpenes, including faradiol esters, compounds studied for their soothing potential.

At ESTELÍ, we prepare our calendula infusion in-house, steeping the flowers in oil to extract their oil-soluble constituents. This botanical preparation contributes to the comforting character of Oro Rosa and Verano, complementing the plant oils that soften roughness and leave dry skin feeling supple and cared for.

Camellia seed oil, a lightweight botanical oil in Verano Body Oil

Camellia Seed Oil

Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil

Certified organic

Camellia seed oil is obtained from the seeds of Camellia oleifera, a flowering evergreen cultivated for its oil in China for centuries. Its fatty acid profile is naturally rich in oleic acid, an omega-9 fatty acid, alongside smaller amounts of linoleic acid. The oil also contains naturally occurring tocopherols, phytosterols, and squalene.

Valued for its smooth glide and silky texture, camellia seed oil helps soften rough, dry skin and leaves it feeling supple. In Verano, it contributes an elegant, spreadable texture that makes the oil easy to massage over damp skin after bathing, leaving a soft, conditioned finish.

Rose hydrosol ingredient for Rosa Jamaica Hydrating Face Mist

Damask Rose

Rosa damascena

Certified organic

Damask rose has a long history in perfumery and botanical skincare, valued for its layered floral fragrance and the diverse constituents found in its petals. We work with Rosa damascena in three forms, each bringing something distinct to our formulas.

Rose Hydrosol
Distillation produces an aromatic flower water carrying small amounts of the rose’s fragrant compounds. Organic rose hydrosol is the foundation of Rosa Jamaica—and the ingredient that began ESTELÍ. It lends the mist its fresh rose aroma and a light, refreshing layer of moisture before face oil or moisturizer.

Rose Otto
Rose otto is the concentrated essential oil distilled from the blossoms. Naturally occurring citronellol and geraniol contribute to its complex floral character. In Oro Rosa and Sí, a small amount brings delicate rose fragrance to the botanical oils, adding depth and softness to the daily ritual.

Rose Petal Powder
Our organic rose powder is made from dried Damask rose petals. The petals contain naturally occurring polyphenols, including flavonoids studied for their antioxidant activity. In Flora Polish, the finely ground petals join hibiscus, lavender, and pink clay in a botanical mask mixed fresh before use.

Dead Sea Salt

Dead Sea Salt

Maris Sal

Mineral origin

The Dead Sea’s intensely saline waters yield salts with a distinctive mineral composition. Magnesium-rich Dead Sea salts have been studied for their effects on skin hydration, roughness, and the moisture barrier, giving this traditional bathing ingredient a scientific foundation as well as a long association with mineral bathing.

In Ojo de Agua, Dead Sea salt forms part of the mineral soaking blend. Dissolved in warm water, it brings the character of a mineral bath into a simple home ritual—a moment to immerse the body, slow down, and enjoy the warmth of the water.

Oenothera Biennis Oil

Certified organic

Evening primrose oil comes from the seeds of Oenothera biennis, a plant known for its yellow flowers that open toward evening. Its distinctive composition combines a high proportion of linoleic acid with gamma-linolenic acid, or GLA—an omega-6 fatty acid found in relatively few commonly used botanical oils.

This fatty-acid-rich oil brings nourishing emollience to skincare, helping soften dry, rough-feeling skin. In Oro Rosa, evening primrose complements jojoba, apricot kernel, and the concentrated CO₂ extracts, contributing to a supple, comfortable finish. We choose it for its distinctive lipid profile and its role in caring for skin that feels dry or depleted.

Frankincense resin used in Magnesio Mineral Body Spray

Frankincense

Boswellia carterii · Boswellia serrata

Frankincense is the aromatic resin of Boswellia trees, treasured for centuries in incense, perfumery, and traditional preparations. Distillation captures its volatile aromatic compounds, including monoterpenes such as alpha-pinene. Their proportions vary by species and harvest, giving each oil its own expression of frankincense’s woody, resinous character.

We work with both Boswellia carterii and Boswellia serrata, selecting each for the character it brings to a formula. Their aromatic depth complements flowers, citrus, and other resins, lending a lingering botanical warmth to skincare and body rituals.

French Pink Clay

French Pink Clay

Illite | Kaolin

Mineral origin

French pink clay is a finely milled mineral ingredient valued for its soft rose color and cleansing properties. Clay particles bind excess surface oil and help lift away everyday buildup as the mask is rinsed off, leaving skin feeling clean and refreshed.

In Flora Polish, pink clay gives the powdered botanicals a smooth, spreadable consistency when mixed with water. It provides the mineral foundation of the mask, complementing the botanical powders in a weekly ritual that leaves skin feeling softer and looking refreshed.

These fragrant constituents give geranium its distinctive place in botanical skincare and natural perfumery.

In Oro Rosa, geranium complements the softness of rose and the resinous depth of frankincense, bringing freshness and definition to the blend. We use it in a small amount for its aromatic character, creating a gentle floral presence alongside the nourishing plant oils.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus sabdariffa

Organic seed oil + organic hydrosol + organic powder

Hibiscus brings different qualities to skincare depending on the plant part and preparation. We work with it in three forms: botanical powder, distilled hydrosol, and seed oil.

Hibiscus Powder
The deep red calyces—the fleshy structures surrounding the flowers—contain anthocyanin pigments and naturally occurring organic acids. In Flora Polish, the powdered botanical contributes its vivid color and plant constituents to our weekly mask ritual.

Hibiscus Hydrosol
This botanical water is produced through distillation. In Rosa Jamaica, organic hibiscus hydrosol joins organic rose hydrosol to create the watery foundation of our refreshing face mist. Its composition differs from that of hibiscus powder or tea.

Hibiscus Seed Oil
The seeds yield an oil rich in linoleic and oleic fatty acids, with naturally occurring tocopherols, including gamma-tocopherol, a form of vitamin E. In Azul, organic hibiscus seed oil contributes nourishing emollience, helping leave skin feeling soft and supple.

Jojoba oil, a lightweight plant oil in Oro Rosa Supercriticals Face Oil

Golden Jojoba Oil

Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil

Certified organic

Jojoba is unusual among botanical oils: the seeds yield a liquid wax composed primarily of long-chain wax esters rather than the triglycerides found in most plant oils. Wax esters also occur naturally in human sebum, making jojoba a distinctive choice for skin-conditioning formulas. It also contains naturally occurring tocopherols, forms of vitamin E.

Golden jojoba provides smooth glide and lasting emollience, helping soften roughness and leave skin feeling supple without a heavy finish. We use it as a versatile foundation in face and body oils, where it complements richer seed oils and concentrated botanical extracts while contributing to an even, silky application.

Lavender botanical used in Magnesio Mineral Body Spray

Lavender

Lavandula Angustifolia Flower · Lavandula Angustifolia Oil

Lavender’s distinctive character comes from its flowering tops, with their soft floral fragrance and fresh, herbaceous undertones. We work with lavender in two forms: finely powdered flowers and distilled essential oil. Each brings a different expression of the plant to the finished formula.

Lavender Flower Powder
In Flora Polish, ground lavender flowers contribute whole botanical material and a subtle herbal aroma to the powdered mask. They join hibiscus and other botanicals in a preparation mixed fresh for each use.

Lavender Essential Oil
Distillation captures lavender’s volatile aromatic compounds, including linalool and linalyl acetate. In Magnesio, the essential oil brings floral softness to frankincense, copaiba, and sweet orange. In Todo Bien, it rounds out the freshness of peppermint and rosemary and the warmth of black pepper.

Despite its rose-like fragrance, palmarosa is an aromatic grass, botanically related to lemongrass and citronella. Steam distillation captures its naturally geraniol-rich essential oil, revealing a soft floral scent with fresh grassy undertones and delicate citrus notes.

Palmarosa brings a distinctive green-floral character to ESTELÍ’s body care and natural perfume. In Verano Body Oil, it joins monoi gardenia and citrus to create a warm botanical aroma. In Ojo de Agua, it complements ylang ylang and vetiver, lending floral freshness to the mineral bathing ritual.

Pomegranate CO₂ extract, a key botanical ingredient in Oro Rosa Supercriticals Face Oil

Pomegranate Seed CO₂ Extract

Punica Granatum Seed Extract

Certified organic

Pomegranate seeds yield a distinctive oil rich in punicic acid, an omega-5 fatty acid uncommon in most botanical oils. The seed oil also contains naturally occurring tocopherols—forms of vitamin E. We use a supercritical CO₂ extract, obtained using pressurized carbon dioxide to draw out the seeds’ oil-soluble constituents.

In Oro Rosa, pomegranate seed CO₂ extract contributes rich emollience, helping soften dry skin and leave it feeling supple and replenished. Its unusual fatty acid profile complements rosehip and sea buckthorn CO₂ extracts, bringing another layer of botanical richness to the golden blend.

Rosehip CO₂ extract, a key botanical ingredient in Oro Rosa Supercriticals Face Oil

Rosehip Seed CO₂ Extract

Rosa Canina Seed Extract

After a rose’s petals fall, the developing fruit—the rosehip—holds seeds rich in botanical oils. We use an organic CO₂ extract of Rosa canina seeds, containing linoleic acid, an omega-6 fatty acid, and alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3. Naturally occurring tocopherols, phytosterols, and carotenoid pigments add to its distinctive composition and golden-orange color.

Extracted using pressurized carbon dioxide at low temperatures, this silky oil helps soften dry skin and retain moisture, leaving it feeling smoother and more supple. In Oro Rosa and Sí, rosehip seed CO₂ extract contributes nourishing lipids and botanical richness, making it a considered choice for skin that feels dry, dull, or depleted.

Sea buckthorn CO₂ extract, a key botanical ingredient in Oro Rosa Supercriticals Face Oil

Sea Buckthorn CO₂ Extract

Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract

Sea buckthorn’s vivid orange berries yield a richly colored oil containing carotenoids, including beta-carotene, and naturally occurring vitamin E. The fruit-pulp oil is distinguished by palmitoleic acid, an omega-7 fatty acid also found in human skin lipids. CO₂ extraction draws out these oil-soluble constituents using pressurized carbon dioxide.

In Oro Rosa, sea buckthorn CO₂ extract contributes nourishing emollience and a warm golden-orange hue. Alongside rosehip and pomegranate extracts, it helps soften dry skin and leave it feeling smooth and supple. Its concentrated natural pigments bring botanical color to the formula without added artificial colorants.

Sugarcane-Derived Squalane

Sugarcane-Derived Squalane

Squalane

Plant-derived · Sugarcane

Squalane is a stable, saturated counterpart of squalene, a lipid naturally present in the skin’s sebum. Our squalane is derived from sugarcane through fermentation and further processing, creating a lightweight, fragrance-free emollient with a smooth, silky feel.

In Sí and Azul, squalane helps soften dry skin and reduce moisture loss without a heavy or greasy finish. It provides an elegant foundation for botanical oils and extracts, allowing the formulas to spread easily and leave skin feeling supple and comfortably moisturized.

Golden oil dropper for SÍ Vitamin C Serum with oil-soluble vitamin C

THD Ascorbate

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate

Oil-soluble vitamin C derivative

Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate is an oil-soluble derivative of vitamin C, chosen for its compatibility with lipid-rich skincare. Unlike water-soluble ascorbic acid, it blends into oils and squalane, allowing us to incorporate vitamin C into a silky, water-free formula without relying on a strongly acidic base.

In Sí, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate complements rosehip CO₂ extract, golden jojoba, and sugarcane-derived squalane in a daily ritual for brighter, more even-looking skin. It brings a targeted vitamin C ingredient to the nourishing botanical blend, combining radiance-focused care with a soft, supple finish.
